Chucho Blu Restaurant

We visited Chucho Blue (Donde Chucho) during our stay in Santa Marta, and it was a really enjoyable experience. The location is a big highlight. The restaurant has a beautiful beach view, which immediately creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. We were there with my nieces and nephews, and it was a great place to sit, eat, and enjoy time together. The food was good and flavorful, well prepared and satisfying. Everything we ordered was enjoyable, and the portions were generous. The service was also good, attentive without being overwhelming, which made the experience even better, especially with a group. Even though I don’t have many pictures, this is one of those places where the overall experience matters more than documenting every plate. Good food, good service, a great view, and a family-friendly environment. I’m giving 4 stars because it delivered exactly what we were looking for: a relaxed, enjoyable meal by the beach. I would definitely recommend it if you’re in Santa Marta and want a pleasant place to eat with a nice view and solid food.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The fish was outstanding—the robalo, seasoned with fresh herbs, was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and well portioned. This seafood restaurant in El Rodadero is a must if you’re in the area. You’ll also get to capture beautiful sunsets during dinner. The service was okay, and the restaurant has a charming mom-and-pop vibe that’s well known to locals. The menu is reasonably priced considering the quality and portion sizes of the fish. If you come for lunch, keep in mind that the midday heat in Santa Marta can be intense.

Exceptional experience once again! This was my second time visiting the restaurant, and both the food and service were outstanding. Every detail was handled with care, and the flavors were unforgettable. I’ll definitely be coming back every time I’m in Santa Marta.

Note: The price shown is in pesos. Located right by the water, this restaurant was the perfect spot for our group of 13. The menu offers a great variety of food and drinks—mostly seafood, but there are other protein options as well. The ambiance is fantastic. You can choose to sit outside by the water, indoors on the first floor, or on the rooftop. The food came out relatively quickly, was plentiful, and tasted great. Everyone at the table agreed the flavors were excellent and said they would gladly return. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and generous portions. The restaurant also has separate parking, which is a plus. The ladies’ bathroom was clean, smelled nice, and even had air conditioning. Service was excellent—attentive and on top of everything. Highly recommended!

Excellent location if you like watching working boats, water taxis and beach in a distance. Seafood salad is great and calamari sautéed in garlic butter excellent. Our waitress spoke english and was very friendly. Highly recommend.

The food at this restaurant is extremely good. All of the seafood is very fresh and tasty and being cooked to order. It's located over a dock at the waterfront Bay area and it's difficult to find since it's hidden back off the main street where you have to enter a parking area and then on to the beach, which is a short walk to the restaurant entrance. The dining area small overall probably accommodating 50 people or a little more. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth while visiting while you're here while you're in Santa Marta.

Environment was nice, beautiful bayfront view, clean and food menu with good selection. Beers really cold, I love it. Only issue at sunset, when the boat guys arrived to shore with a very loud to music to an uncorfotable levels, but the place is super to have a nice meal and enjoy a nice time.
